One of my favorite winter getaways is a nice bath with a fragrant sea salt scrub. This sea salt scrub is infused with coconut oil, making it so moisturizing and soft for your skin! And the mint makes it wonderfully invigorating.
I love the simplicity of DIY salt scrubs – this one only has 4 ingredients and takes only a few minutes to make.
I’ve added links to my favorite products for making this – but it works out just fine with other quality sea salts, coconut oils, and fragrance oils.
Variations – I like to make my bath salts very fragrant, including this one, so if you want a lighter scent, feel free to add only a few drops of fragrance oil instead of 1/2 ounce.
Mint Sea Salt Scrub
- 1 cup coarse sea salt
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 ounce garden mint fragrance oil
- 2-4 drops of green food coloring (optional)
How to make:
- Melt the coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl
- Stir the food coloring into the oil, if you desire to add some color
- Mix the coconut oil with the sea salt
- Add the fragrance oil and stir in
Once the bath salts are mixed well, you can use this scrub to gently clean and exfoliate your skin. You can easily store any leftovers in a jar.
These also make great gifts! Just package them in a nice jar, add a ribbon, and you have a useful, wonderful handmade gift.
I hope you enjoy this minty sea-scape!
